Any of you know a lot about locks? I just put a tool box on the ranger and want to wire up an actuator so that I can lock and unlock my tool box with the doors/keypad.

Kinja'd!!!

The locks that came with it, and most locks like it require the key to lock it. I need a type of lock that can be locked/unlocked from the hidden side without a key, but will also work with the key... If that makes any sense. I know a lot about electronics, very little about locks.

Any ideas on what sort of lock I can search for?

UPDATE:

I found !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!  however I have everything except the lock itself. What do you call that sort of lock?

I’m very bad at lock picking, but I’d describe that sort of lock as “cheap lock even I can pick.”
